Class Styles

At Centre Studios, we now have 3 Class Styles to choose from for our group classes - Reformer Pilates (classic), Jump and Stretch & Core! As well as 2 new specific classes being our Pre-natal and Seniors classes.

All classes are 50min and have a maximum of 6 people per class. Our intimate class sizes allow us to work with you closely to ensure you are moving correctly and challenged just the right amount.


Reformer Pilates (classic)

This is our signature Reformer Pilates class - a full body workout with a strong focus on form, posture and technique.

We will teach and remind you of the foundations of Pilates and utilise these throughout exercises to challenge your entire body. These classes are designed to improve your strength, balance, coordination and mobility, to enable you to feel stronger and move better throughout your everyday life.

Suitable for all levels of fitness, from beginner to advanced. We will work with you to ensure you are challenged, no matter what your level of strength or experience. Your instructor can also provide exercise modifications to accomodate those with specific injuries or limitations.


Jump Reformer Pilates

Our Jump Reformer Pilates class incorporates the use of Jumpboards to give you a high intensity, full body workout that will get your blood pumping, heart racing and muscles burning (in the best way).

The Jumpboard is a padded, vertical platform that we attach to the end of the Reformer to add a cardio component to our workouts, training the heart and cardiovascular system, as well as your entire body.

Jumpboards offer a safe way to perform higher intensity exercises such as jumping, as it is more gentle on the joints compared to when body-weight loaded.

Please note: A reasonable level of core strength is required for Jump classes, to help stabilise and protect your back whilst jumping. Must have attended at least one Reformer Pilates class at centre Studios before booking in to a Jump Reformer Pilates class.


Stretch & Core Reformer Pilates

Our Stretch & Core class is specifically focused on increasing your flexibility and improving your core strength. All exercises will be performed using the Reformer, which will help to both assist and deepen your stretches, and intensify your core workout.

Your instructor will guide you through a variety of stretches and exercises on the Reformer, to help you recover, mobilise and stabilise, to enhance your overall wellbeing.This unwinding class is designed to relieve you of any tensions and tightness that may have built up throughout the week.

Join us for every Friday and Sunday morning for a deep, full body stretch and a core burn that will leave you feeling longer and stronger from the inside out.


Pre-natal Reformer Pilates

This class provides a safe, supportive and effective way to keep you moving through all 3 trimesters of your prgenancy. No matter your experience or fitness level, your trained instructor will guide you through movements and stretches that are specifically modified to cater for your body and its needs during this time. 

If you are pregnant and in your 2nd or 3rd trimester, this class is made for you. Let us help you feel better and stronger throughout this incredible time for you and your body.


Seniors Reformer Pilates

Our Seniors Reformer Pilates classes are designed for anybody over the age of 60 and will incorporate a vast range of movements, exercises and stretches conducted at an appropriate pace, resistance and difficulty level for this age group.

As well as the benefits of improving strength, flexibility and mobility, these classes are specifically helpful in supporting bone density, joint health, posture and balance for the prevention of falls.

No previous experience of fitness level required. With our small class sizes, modifications can be made for anyone with specific injuries or limitations. Classes are at a reduced rate compared to our normal classes, with single or 10 class pass available. Please contact Dannie to find out more and to get booked in.
