Frequently Asked Questions

  • How early do I need to arrive to class?

Please aim to arrive to your class about 5 minutes before the scheduled start time. Unfortunately, late comers will not be able to enter once the class has commenced.

  • What should I wear to class?

We recommend you wear fitted activewear/clothing to your Pilates classes, to enable your instructor to better view your technique and give you the most relevant and personalised feedback. Socks must be worn on the reformer beds, grip socks are recommended (available for purchase in the studio).

  • What should I bring to class?

Pilates grip socks, drink bottle, workout towel.

We have MoveActive grip socks available for purchase in the studio if you need.

  • I have injury concerns, can I still come to class?

You may be able to, but please notify your instructor as soon as possible of your concerns. We will assess whether a group class or private class is appropriate for you. Please note, our group reformer classes are designed to be a workout, not injury rehabilitation, so please consult your health practitioner for further advice.

  • I have no experience on a Reformer, can I still book into a class?

Absolutely. Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes early to your first class to allow your instructor time to meet you and introduce you to the Reformer bed. If you prefer, our Private Classes are a great option to begin with to allow yourself more time to understand the equipment and how it can be used to help you reach your goals.

  • I am pregnant, can I participate in classes?

We welcome everyone to join our classes at Centre Studios. If you are up to 16 weeks gestation, you can absolutely join our regular group classes, please just advise your instructor as soon as possible of your pregnancy. If you are in the later stages of your pregnancy, we recommend sticking to our Pre-natal classes or Private Classes. However, please contact us to discuss if regular group classes could be an option for you.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

We have a 9 hour class cancellation policy. This is to ensure others have a chance to take your spot in a class if you can not longer make it. Classes can be cancelled online, via your WellnessLiving account or via the WellnessLiving Achieve app.

  • How does the waitlist work?

Full class? Join the waitlist! If someone cancels their spot in that class and you are first on the waitlist, you will be notified via email and automatically added to the class. If you can no longer make it, please cancel your spot from the waitlist/class as soon as possible.

  • Is there a late cancel/no-show fee?

If you can no longer make it to your class, please cancel as soon as possible to allow someone else to take your spot. If you fail to do so more than 9 hours before your class, you will forfeit a class pass or be charged a $10 fee if on the Discover Centre Intro Offer or Unlimited Membership.
