Terms &
Conditions

Centre Studios Terms & Conditions for use of our studio.

These Terms and Conditions apply to all clients and guests of Centre Studios and to all purchases, bookings and use of the studio, including casual classes, class packs, introductory offers, private and semi-private sessions, workshops and events. Separate Membership Terms and Conditions apply to auto-renewing memberships and operate in addition to these terms.

By booking a class, purchasing a service or entering the studio, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the studio or its services.

Centre Studios reserves the right to refuse entry, suspend access or remove any person from the studio if these Terms and Conditions are breached.

1. Studio Conduct & Client Responsibilities

Clients must comply with all studio rules, health and safety requirements and staff instructions at all times. Clients must treat staff, other clients and guests with courtesy and respect and must not cause offence, injury or damage to any person or property. Suitable fitness attire must be worn at all times, including mandatory socks when using reformers, and shoes must be removed before entering the studio. Clients must clean their reformer and any equipment used after class and respect all shared spaces within the studio and building.

Clients must notify their instructor of any injury, pregnancy or relevant condition prior to the commencement of class and must cease participation immediately in the event of injury, illness or discomfort. Clients must be at least 18 years of age to attend classes without a parent or guardian-signed release.

2. Purchases & Payments

All purchases are final, non-refundable and non-transferable. Classes must be paid for prior to booking, either via an active membership, class pack or individual purchase through Momence. All prices include GST.

Introductory offers are valid once per new client only and expire as stated at the time of purchase. Class packs and private session packs are valid for the period specified at purchase and any unused credits will expire automatically.

Extensions will only be considered in cases of injury or genuine extenuating circumstances and are granted at the discretion of Centre Studios.

3. Class Bookings & Waitlists

All class bookings must be made and managed via the Momence app or online timetable. Classes may be booked up to four (4) weeks in advance. If a class is fully booked, clients may add themselves to the waitlist. By joining a waitlist, clients acknowledge that they are available to attend the class if a space becomes available.

Should a space open, clients will be automatically added to the class up to one (1) hour prior to the class start time and will be notified via email and SMS. It is the client’s responsibility to remove themselves from the waitlist if they are no longer able to attend, as applicable cancellation and no-show policies will apply.

4. Cancellations, No-Shows & Late Arrivals

Centre Studios operates a 9-hour cancellation policy for all group classes and a 24-hour cancellation policy for all private and semi-private sessions. All cancellations must be made via the Momence app or online timetable (cancellations via email, SMS or phone will not be accepted).

Cancellations made within the applicable cancellation window will result in the loss of the class or session credit, or the full session fee being charged.

Failure to attend a booked class or session without cancelling will result in the loss of the applicable credit, plus a $10 no-show fee.

For safety and to minimise disruption to the class, the studio door will be locked at the scheduled start time and entry will not be permitted once the class has commenced.

Centre Studios reserves the right to cancel or modify classes, instructors or timetables at any time. Where a class is cancelled by the studio, the applicable class credit will be returned.

5. Pre- & Post-Natal Participation

Pregnant and post-natal clients are welcome to attend classes subject to studio guidelines and medical clearance where required. Centre Studios reserves the right to require private sessions or specialised pre- and post-natal classes where appropriate and to recommend modifications or alternative class options at any time to ensure safety.

6. Health, Safety & Liability

Clients acknowledge that participation in Pilates and fitness activities involves inherent risks and confirm that they are physically fit to participate. Centre Studios is a group fitness Pilates studio and not a clinical or medical facility and does not provide medical advice.

Personal belongings are brought into the studio at the client’s own risk and Centre Studios is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property. To the extent permitted by law, Centre Studios is not liable for any injury, loss or damage except where caused by gross negligence.

7. Media

Clients may be photographed or filmed within the studio for legitimate business and marketing purposes. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions, clients consent to the use of such media without compensation. Clients who do not wish to appear in media must notify Centre Studios in writing.

8. Unforeseen Circumstances

Centre Studios is not responsible for interruptions to services or temporary closure due to events beyond its reasonable control, including fire, flood, severe weather, power outages, government restrictions or public health emergencies. Where possible, Centre Studios will make reasonable efforts to minimise disruption. Credits will only be extended or refunded where required by Australian Consumer Law or at the studio’s discretion.

9. Memberships

Monthly memberships are subject to separate Membership Terms and Conditions, which form part of the agreement between the client and Centre Studios and must be accepted at the time of membership purchase.

10. Policy Updates & Governing Law

Centre Studios reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time, and the most current version will apply. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable Australian Consumer Law.

Centre Studios is a group fitness Pilates studio and is not a clinical, medical or rehabilitation facility.

MEMBERSHIP Terms & Conditions (general)

These Membership Terms and Conditions apply to all Centre Studios memberships and should be read in conjunction with the Centre Studios Studio Terms & Conditions. By purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms and the specific membership agreement provided and accepted at the time of purchase.

All memberships operate on an auto-renewing basis and are billed every 28 days unless otherwise stated. Memberships include a minimum commitment period of either three (3) months or twelve (12) months, depending on the membership selected, and are clearly outlined and accepted at the time of purchase.

Members may cancel their membership within seven (7) days of signing by providing written notice, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Any refunds during this period will be assessed in line with the specific membership agreement accepted at purchase.

Memberships automatically renew at the end of the commitment term unless written notice is provided in accordance with the notice period outlined in the applicable membership agreement.

Membership cancellations or changes require written notice in accordance with the notice period outlined in the specific membership agreement accepted at purchase. Early cancellation prior to the end of the minimum commitment period may result in cancellation fees or payment of a portion of the remaining membership term. Cancellation conditions, notice requirements, fees and any applicable exceptions are detailed in the individual membership agreement and form part of the binding contract. Certain circumstances, such as medical conditions, relocation or permanent studio closure, may be considered in accordance with the specific membership agreement.

Memberships are personal, non-transferable and may only be used by the named member. Unused credits do not accumulate and are subject to rollover or expiry rules as outlined in the applicable membership agreement.

Membership fees are payable via automatic direct debit using the payment method provided at sign-up. It is the member’s responsibility to ensure payment details remain current. Failed or overdue payments may result in fees, booking restrictions or suspension of access until the outstanding balance is resolved.

Membership suspensions are available for medical or other approved circumstances and must be requested in writing. Suspension eligibility, duration and conditions vary by membership type and are outlined in the specific membership agreement.

All memberships are subject to Centre Studios’ booking, cancellation, attendance and studio policies, including cancellation timeframes, no-show fees, late arrival rules and studio conduct requirements.

Centre Studios reserves the right to amend membership offerings, pricing structures, timetables and studio policies from time to time, in accordance with applicable law. Where required, members will be notified of material changes.

Full membership terms, including inclusions, commitment length, cancellation conditions, suspension rules and fees, are provided and agreed to at the time of membership purchase and form the binding membership agreement.
